Hola familia!
We had a really great week. Taught lots of lessons, found some miraculous
news, we pormised our zone something and the promised was fufilled, the
zone is improving, I went to Málaga and back in one day, and we were guided
by His Spirit all week. Super good week. The last month or so the zone has
been struggling with getting baptismal commitments and dates with
investigators. So we made them a promise. If they were exactly obedient and
worked hard, by the end of the week they would have one more fecha than
they did at that current moment. Everyone went to work and started paying
more attention to obedience and the miracles started coming! By the end of
the week there were only 3 companionships that didn´t have fechas, everyone
else had set at least one. My faith grew a lot from that experience. When
we do our part, the Lord ALWAYS comes through on his part.
So another miracle we saw this week were two news. They are Begoña and
Carlos, references from a member in Murcia. Begoña is sick and wanted a
blessing of health. We gave her the blessing and taught her about the
Restoration. She totally loved it and said thay we had brought a lot of
peace with us. We´re going back this evening to teach her more about Joseph
Smith and Plan of Salvation. They´re a miraculous couple, having gone
through lots of trials and they have a little miracle baby after the
doctors told her she´d never have kids. They´re so so prepared for the
Gospel. When they come to church, they´re going to love it and I´m certain
they will be baptized.
I went to Málaga to pick up my new residency card. We have to renew every
year and the renewal process takes place in Málaga. So I took a 4 hour
train ride from Sevilla to Málaga, had a 30 min. appointment at the police
department, and then got back on the train for another 4 hours. Hardly lost
any time in my area! It was a long stinking trip though. This part of Spain
has some really prett country though, all of Cadiz is very beautiful.
So now the plan for this week is to continue with the fire from last week
and keep motivating the zone to continue working hard. We´ve decided to do
an "hour of finding" type deal. Every day when we plan, we´re going to plan
from 8-9 only plans to find new investigators. When 8 oclock rolls around,
we´re going to start that hour with a prayer and then go find new
investigators! We have faith that the Lord will guide us during these hours
so that we can all find new investigators and help even more people get
baptized. I¨m really excited about this plan. I know the Lord will give us
many more miracles like He did last week.
So that´s that family. I hope you have a fabulous week. I have been hearing
lots of cool quotes recently, and I would like to share one of them with
you. It´s very likely that you´ve already heard it, but that´s alright,
Elder Webb just has a really slow system. Don´t forget to seeking out those
spiritual experiences! Go have experiences with God and grow closer unto
him! I love you all so much!

Milagraso
Hola familia!
Welp that was a perty darn sweet week. We met with the stake president on wednesday and talked about the upcoming Invitation Month and how the missionaries are going to participate here in the stake. President Morales is a stud for sure. He´s so driven and focused, and has so many good ideas. And what´s more, his daughter just recently passed away about three weeks ago, so remember him in your prayers please.
Thursday my comp had to go to the doctor to get his knee checked out. His cartlage is inflammed and he now has to take anti-inflammatories for a year. That´s a long time! He´s not to happy about it.
Friday the AP´s came and we did exchanges with them which was really awesome. My companion went to Malaga and I stayed here in Jerez. We saw so so many miracles in a short 24 hours. Here is the biggest miracle that happened:
So a recent convert of almost a year, his name is Pablo. He is 20 years old and the only member in his family. The missionaries have tried talking to his parents, but they don´t want anything. They never will meet with the missionaries or anything. So we go to Pablo´s house to teach him and his non-member girlfriend, but the girlfriend bails. So then we just teach him and have a nice discussion about how with God, we can do all things (Alma 26:12). As we finish up Pablo suprises us and tells us that his parents have invited us over to each lunch! First time they´ve ever fed missionaries. It went really great, we had some really great conversation and at the end they were asking us to come hang out with them at the upcoming bull fight that night (they didn´t really get the whole thing about us not ever "hanging out", but it was a nice gesture!). After the meal, we got our things and were about the leave when I hear Pablo´s mom shouting from the kitchen "alright fine we´ll listen to the missionarie´s message, everyone go sit on the couch and listen!" What´s crazy about that is that we hadn´t even said anything to them! So we had a really great first discussion, the Spirit was incredibly strong and you could see and feel that Pablo´s dad knew that it is true. They both commited to read, pray and come to church, and when they get their answer, to be baptized!! I love the Lord´s miracles! Nothing better than being a servant for the Lord and seeing His hand in the work.
Bummer though that they didn´t come to church yesterday. They went out to the fair and didn´t want to get up early. But that is okay, because we will now be more likely to have another discussion with them. I know it´s not how I was imagining thigns going, but the Lord´s way is always better than whatever it is I have in my mind. Their names are Juan and Analicia, so please pray for them that the Lord will bless them with spiritual experiences and that they will be able to recognize it.
Our other fetchas are going good. Haider is the most sure to be baptized on next Saturday. Please continue to pray for Haider and Gisel that they can recieve permission from their parents.
Last thing I would like to share from my personal study. Romans 4:20-22, talking about Abraham it says:
"20 He staggered not at the promise opf God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness."
Heavnely Father sometimes asks us to do a lot, sometimes hard things. We´ve all experienced this sometime or another in many different forms. But if we have faith, and trust God and that His promises are true, we will have a greater added confidence in that we can accomplish what it is that He has asked. Whether it be a calling, or loving someone, or even repenting of something and coming back more dedicated than before, He knows that we are capable. I know this principle to be true because I have seen it many times on my mission. So to all you out there, have faith! Trust in the Lord and in His promises. I love you all so much and I hope you have a great week with lots of spiritual experiences. Loves!

Happy happy happy
Hola Familia!
A big ol´ shout out to my mom, happy Mothers Day! It was great to get to talk to my wonderful mom and dad, I love you both a lot. Nuff said. So what was the week like? Pretty dang crazy let me tell you what. We had a total of 3 and half days out of our area. We were at leadership council, then dealt with some zone problems, then had zone training meeting; lot´s of traveling this week! But at the end of the week, the Lord helped us and we got some good things done. Three of our investigators came to church this week, but one of them and a large group of lessa actives that are all friends left church early to go to the beach. Dang beach. It´s okay though, at least they came at all!
So we talked about our purpose and the upcoming Month of Invitation with our zone. We need to fully understand our purpose and teach the WHOLE doctrine of Christ. Sometimes we get focused on just one part (baptisms) t hat we miss the other equally important parts. We also made pancakes for the whole zone which they rightly loved. We made so many stinking cakes. Two pancake chefs are roaming around southern Spain now, so watch out because they might baptize you at the same time!
We have 5 people with baptismal fechas right now, three of them have real real potential. Haider is 14 and wants to be baptized because he wants to do it by the proper authority. Gisel is also 14 and wants to be baptized because she really likes church and the people there and always feels good when she comes. Those are some pretty powerful testimonies from people so young! I love teaching them because they love learning. Please pray hard for them. There is also MariCarmen, the mother of a recent convert boy. We shared the lesson of the first vision with here and she LOVED it. Her and her friend got chills as I shared the first vision and they said they loved the feeling in the room as we spoke. She committed to come to church and to mroe fully look into the church. She didn´t come yesterday because the member that was going to give her a ride couldn´t make it because of a sick child. Life happens! But there´s always another oportunidad. We´ll be teaching them Wednesday, so please pray for them!
Today is my companion Elder Curtis´ birthday. He turned 20 years old and is a huge goofball and sometimes I think that he is turning 12. samuelcurtis@myldsmail.net is his email if you want to drop him a quick happy birthday line. I´m sure he´d love that. We´re going to go to the county fair thing today and it´ll be super cool. They´ve been setting up for weeks for this, and there will be a lot of dancing horses. I love horsies!
Anyway, I love you family, I hope you have a really great week this week. Please pray for our investigators so they have the blessings of the Lord! Seek after those spiritual experiences and invite the Spirit into your lives! I´ll talk to ya´ll next week! Loves.

Give it your all in every moment
Hola Familia!
First off, thank you all very much for all the birthday wishes! My companion and other missionaries have taken good care of me and made it a very good birthday so far. Second off, last week was a long week. Fufilling, but nonetheless long. It was the internation gran prix for motorcycles this weekend and it was held here in Jerez. There were SO many motorcycles here, thousands, and they were making much noise. And pre-race parties just about every day, right above our piso. They had some sort of engine revving competition till about 4 in the morning each night. Them motos made quite a rukus this week, but that didn´t stop these two warriors from doing their work! The Lord blessed us quite a bit this week.
We found a new investigator named Compaño and he´s from Brasil. He´s friends with a member that was recently baptized in January. He´s interested in the Church because he´s not very happy right now and has seen quite a change in his friend and wants to change as well. He´s very observant and is already recognizing the Spirit. He´s 21 so sometimes his youthful habits get in the way, but I have faith that he will progress. Please keep him in your prayers.
Consecration week went well, lots of the missionaries saw miracles and were able to see the great effects of obedience and consecration. They were generally more happy as well. The goal now is that we catch the spirit of consecration week and build off of it for the rest of our lives. Something that I have learned in my mission that applies here and in life is that the Lord is always testing our obedience. He gives us trials to see if we´re really commited to Him, or to our own selfish purposes. So the next time things get hard, even if it´s just for an afternoon or a moment, we must try hard to be grateful, because He is testing us because He loves us. And that test will make us better than before. "A ship in the harbor is safe, but that´s not what ships are for." God asks complete obedience and consecration, and He will yank us out of our comfort zones if necessary. But it is because it is for our good and benifit. It requires faith, but is always worth it in the end.
We had a great Concilio yesterday and today. Talked about converting ourselves as missionaries and teaching the WHOLE dovertine of Christ, rather than just parts (like faith and baptism and not focusing on repentance). It has a lot to do with our purpose. A missionary that understands his purpose will have greater power and authority to accomplish his purpose. If we can live the whole doctrine of Christ and become completely converted to it, then I know that we will become a more spiritual mission, and the quality of everything will go up. We´re going to teach that to our zones on Friday. I invite all of you to look into your lives and find if there is a part of the doctrine of Christ that is lacking, and to fully commit your self to live the whole thing! I promise that a greater abundance of the Spirit will enter your life, and a profound happiness as you draw nearer to our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.
Other than that, transfer calls are this weekend, so that´ll be interesting to see who goes where. End of transfers is always a fun time. I look forward to Skyping on Sunday! We´ll be on at 6:00 PM my time. Family I love you all so much, and I love the Lord. I love being a missionary. I love His gospel and His Atonement, the opportunity He has given us to repent and start over. Let us all become more commited to Christ and be His strongest warriors that He has, His most fiercest ships that He has that aren´t in the harbor. I hope you all have a great week! Loves!
